Veteran gets new smart home

The foundation has built more than three dozen smart homes for injured war veterans such as Tejeda. "Smart homes are just designed to make their life a lot easier," said Schaeperkoetter. "From widened doorways to fit wheelchairs through to advanced electronics that can be controlled through smart phones or iPads. Smart homes give injured veterans some of their freedom back."
